East Mendip Study Centre A major new educational facility at Stoke St Michael near Frome will provide a range of curriculum-related topics, all linked to one of East Mendip's oldest industries - quarrying. The new centre will replace the Mendip Quarry Producers' East Mendip study centre at Hanson's Whatley Quarry, providing a bigger and better classroom equipped with all the latest teaching aids and offering facilities for people with disabilities or special needs.
